Bide Mind — Privacy Policy

Bide Mind is built on one rule: your sessions and their data never leave your device.
The short version
- Bide Mind has no account, no servers, and no analytics or advertising.
- Bide Mind never makes a network request. EEG recordings, band-power metrics and session metadata are stored on-device only. (The only outbound links are the documentation and privacy-policy links in Settings, which open in your browser.)
- Bluetooth is used solely to connect to your Muse headband; no Bluetooth data leaves the app.
- If you delete Bide Mind, its local data is deleted with it.
What Bide Mind reads and writes in Health
With your permission, and for a finished session only:
- Writes — Mindful Minutes: one category sample per finished session.
- Reads — heart rate and HRV for the session's own time window (to compute a start-vs-finish comparison), plus respiratory rate for the hours before it started (last night's overnight breathing rate — Apple Watch records this only during sleep).
Bide Mind never browses or stores any other Health history. Reading and writing are a single on/off switch in Settings; authorization is requested once, on first launch.
What Bide Mind stores, and where

None of this is uploaded. Nothing is reachable from outside your device.
Third parties
There are none. Bide Mind does not send data to Muse or to any other service — the headband is a Bluetooth peripheral, and the only Muse reference in the app is a link to its public SDK documentation, opened by you.
Children's privacy
Bide Mind collects no data from anyone, of any age: it never transmits anything anywhere. It is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If Bide Mind's data practices ever change, this document will be updated and the in-app version number will reflect the change.
